I want to thank you for all you have done to help my mother in her legal matters, and in a special way, for being with her on the day of the hearing on September 24. My mother wants to let you know she appreciated your protection very much because it was the first time she was in court. She felt very protected by your presence and at the same time appreciates your Spanish. Thank you, Rena. Know I greatly appreciate your time and your patience. Have a nice weekend.
Rena joined Salisbury, Lee & Tsuda in September 2021. Rena has a passion for helping people through the most difficult moments in their lives, those times which require the services of family law attorneys, and treats each client with the respect and sensitivity she would expect for herself and her own family members.
Rena graduated from Southwestern University School of Law in 2020 and has been dedicated to helping families and individuals with family law services since 2019, when she first interned at the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law, a nonprofit family law center dedicated to helping the most impoverished and vulnerable people in the Los Angeles area. Rena began as an intern at the Harriett Buhai Center and grew to love the advocacy work and client interaction so much that she continued on as a volunteer attorney after she graduated from Southwestern and passed the California Bar exam.
During her time at Southwestern, Rena was also a volunteer legal educator for high school students through Southwestern’s Public Interest Program and the national Street Law program, which advances justice through classroom and community education by empowering young people with legal and civic skills and knowledge.
Rena has also worked for the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office as an intern in the Cannabis Advice, Law, and Litigation Section, assisting the Assistant City Attorney and Deputy City Attorneys during the rollout of the Department of Cannabis Regulation’s Social Equity Program, which at the time was the largest of its kind in the United States.
When she is not working at Salisbury, Lee & Tsuda, Rena paints and writes, and volunteers at a non-profit for young girls located in Los Feliz which encourages confidence and inner-fortitude in young girls through working with horses, barn animals, and urban farming.
